Typed letter signed from W. Mcmillan, Llandudno, to Mr. Harrison Garside, Victoria [manuscript], 1917 August 29.

Mcmillan bemoans the "stiffer job we actor-managers to-day give ourselves in asking the public to support Shakespeare pure and simple." He contrasts his job to that of Garrick and Macready who sandwiched Shakespeare "in between a burlesque, and not infrequently, performing animals," thereby making a lot of money.
